Analysis of Magazine Advert

Above is the Two Door Cinema Club Magazine advert and the conventions of a magazine advert for the indie genre are shown here extremely well. An image of the band are shown here and this dominates the advert which is good as you want to show who it is about. We want to make sure we use an image that is bold and original and covers the majority of the advert. Also analysing the advert the text of the title Two Door Cinema Club, is also bold and eye catching which is good as the audience want to know straight away what the advert is about. Other text is used around the image but it depends on what information needs to be involved. We need to make sure that we make the title of the album and the bands name eye-catching and bold. Also the logo or magazines name is used on the advert and this is used to also catch the readers attention. We will need to make sure we use logos which are well known in the indie genre so that the audience can be interested in the advert straight away. As a group we need to make sure that we have a bold image which will show the band, a bold and eye-catching title and then also add logos when necessary. We will also need to add the digipak on the advert so the readers and audience also can see what the album looks like.
