Above is the picture of a sheet which we individually filled out for our Ancillary Task, this needed to be done so that we could plan out what we were going to have to achieve when createing our digipack and our advertisement poster. This sheet included what the artist's profile is, which we described the band as a young Irish three-peice making brillantly hooky, melodic guitar pop/indie/alternative music. We also had to include the target audience in which we are going to aim our Ancillary Tasks to, we decided as a group that are target audience for these tasks are mainly males in the age region of 17-30. We then also had to decide what we wanted to include on our CD Cover, we came to a decision that we needed a bold image, which was orginally to take over the front cover, along with intrustments and the correct mise-en-scene. We also stated that we would have to inclued the Artist Name and Album Name to make it look professional. The back of the CD Cover we dicussed to have on was going to be a different but similar concept to the front of the CD Cover along with the track numbers and names of the songs included on the album.
It is very important that we plan our digipack before creating for it as it means that we have a base to work on and also allows us to follow a guideline in the research we have found out. This planning has helped us to understand what is needed to be shown on the front of a CD Cover and the back of a CD Cover, of a band in the alternative/indie genre.
